Foxconn will increase investment in India

Hone High Technology Group (Foxconn) is planning a major investment in India. Foxconn Chairman Yong Liu held a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday. He informed about the big investment plan in India.

This Taiwanese company is the world's largest manufacturer of electronic devices. Foxconn manufactures electronic products for many of the world's most famous brands, such as Apple Inc.'s iPod and iPhone. The Chairman of Foxconn held a meeting with the Prime Minister on Wednesday. Modi highlighted the benefits of investing in sectors where India will play a prominent role in the future. In the meeting between the two, Yong Liu informed about the plan of investment in several states of India.

After a fruitful meeting with the chairman of Foxconn, the Prime Minister wrote on the X handle, "There was a great discussion on Foxconn's investment plans in states like Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu."

Yong Liu came to the Semicon India Conclave in Gujarat in July last year. At that time the Prime Minister met him. Foxconn aims to provide employment to 40 thousand people in India. This Taiwanese company has plans to invest 9 to 10 billion dollars in India. Yong Liu's name was on the list of Padma Shri recipients on the eve of Republic Day this year. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan.
